Terms of Use

Energy Clock is a personal daily energy planner that works from your sleep. It isn't a medical device, and it isn't intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or rule out any sleep disorder or other condition. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice. If you're worried about your sleep — for example, trouble sleeping most nights, loud snoring, stopping breathing in your sleep, or feeling very sleepy during the day — talk to a doctor.

Don't rely on Energy Clock to decide whether you're alert enough to drive, operate machinery or do anything else where being tired could put you or others at risk.

Sleep times the app detects, the energy curve, the wake window, Today's Plan and the insights in Trends are estimates and general suggestions worked out from what you logged and from general ideas about sleep. Nothing is measured from your body, and they can be wrong. Sleep guidance by age is general, not a personal recommendation. Use them as a help, not a rule, and follow your own judgment and any advice from a professional.

Reminders are delivered by your phone and depend on its settings, Focus or Do Not Disturb modes and battery. They can arrive late or not at all. Don't depend on them alone for anything important, such as waking up on time.

What you log stays on your phone and belongs to you. Because we don't hold a copy, we can't recover it if your phone is lost, reset or replaced, or if you delete the app. Your phone's own backups and the export in Settings are the ways to keep a copy. See the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 to use Energy Clock. If you're under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree to them on your behalf. Some features are only for adults (18+).

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the App Store. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer or misuse it, except where the law allows you to. The app, its design and its name belong to R5IOT LLC.

If you downloaded Energy Clock from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if from Google Play, Google Play's Terms of Service do. These terms are between you and R5IOT LLC, not Apple or Google; neither is responsible for the app or its support, or has any obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded by agreement.

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, R5IOT LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any decision you make based on the app's estimates or suggestions. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll post the new version here with a new date. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.

Please contact us first — most problems can be sorted out by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim at home.
